Just an October Update About Too Many Updates

It is October. We went to Philadelphia and it made me want to create some content after returning from the trip. It also made me realize that I’m going to have to combine or eliminate some creative outlets.

I decided to do a VeganCLT Instagram update, then a rare personal IG update. Now I want to update the Philly vegan options page on the VeganCLT website and post a Time to Travel post here on this website about the trip. Also, it would be fun to finally learn and post a real YouTube video. I haven’t touched my TrackStacks project in awhile, there is a lot I want to do there. But first I want to set up some AI agents to help organize and assist with coding. All of that eats up my dwindling brain capacity and is a whole lot of time spent for really no real payoff or purpose.

In my head, all day I’m thinking I should be working on some of these things and I think it takes away some of my freedom to enjoy the day because in the back of my head I feel I am not making any progress.

I enjoy it and like to think I’m contributing in some fashion to the vegan world with the vegan stuff. That website does earn a few pennies here and there to offset some of the hosting costs, but it would likely go unnoticed if it all ceased to exist.

It doesn’t matter. That has literally been the tagline for this website since the beginning. Do I want to try and turn all of the projects in to one something, continue dabbling in everything just a little, eliminate some/all projects, focus on one completely?

What does matter?

Well we almost put the cat down the other day since he is nearly 15 years old and was peeing blood, vomiting and howling like a human in pain. Everything online suggested it was likely a blockage and it would be thousands of dollars, a few nights in the hospital, and had a chance of recurring. He doesn’t love being put in a crate, so we figured we shouldn’t make him suffer going to the vet if he already had this death sentence. We had a hold on an appointment to have someone come out that afternoon and send him off to see his old frenemy Ralphie. He had 8 hours left to live. We went through the roller coaster of emotions, then decided to take him in to the emergency vet.

Turns out he had a severe UTI or something due to stress from our trip to Philly. He doesn’t like being alone. He got an antibiotic injection and some pain meds and we were on our way home under $400. The vet said the cat was a few pounds overweight, but he was in good shape overall and would have guessed he was only 7 or 8 years old.

Now as I sit here and try to do anything productive he continually jumps up on the counter where he is not supposed to be or messes with whatever is on the bench by the door making noise and knocking things off. I try to explain to him that he is making me second guess our decision to seek medical attention, but it doesn’t seem to get through as he continues his antics.

Technically, it is for myself, but you are still welcome.
