We are another week into my shift from full time pharmacist to very part time pharmacist and it is wonderful. We have gone on two nice hikes at two different state parks: Stone Mountain and Hanging Rock. The Mountain Loop Trail at Stone Mountain is the current leader for a more interesting hike, but Hanging Rock was cool because we got to hang out with our good friend Ken.

What do you do for work?
I read somewhere on the socials in a post about whether or not to tell people that you are retired or not. Sometimes it can just feel awkward or make you feel bad about being able to not work any more while they may never have that option. One comment suggested saying you are now working in “Asset Management” and can divulge more information as needed or if requested. You don’t have to flat out say you are only managing your own assets. I shall attempt to use that going forward.
Another comment suggested not feeling bad because everyone makes their own choices with their money. This may be true for some, but I do get a slight feeling of guilt when I consider I could be making money and helping out others that need help. However, if I continued to work I would not likely be doing that at all and would only be padding my retirement to ensure my own financial needs.
I had a thought that maybe at some point I could go back to work full time for a year and donate it all to various charities. With my company matching donations 100%, that would be pretty cool.
